We'll meet everyday for one month (AUG 23rd - SEPT 20th) on google meet.
Please familiarize yourself with the sequence before our first day. Gentle reminder that I will only be offering a guided practice (oral cues) on mondays, meaning that the other rest of the time you will see me and the rest of the community practice in silence, you will hear at bell 5mn after the call starts to signal the beginning of the practice, another bell 10mn after the call starts to signal the start of the asana practice, another bell 10mn after that to signal the start of your meditation and 3 final bells to signal the end of your practice.
Purpose 💫
The intention is to create an alternative morning routine to what we're currently working with. A morning that will serve us, support us, sustain us for the day. This month might be life changing or you might realise you're definitely not a morning person/ seating still in meditation type of person, which is AMAZING because at least now you know for sure and after the challenge you might like to explore other ways of morning presence like journaling, going for a walk, chanting or even dancing!
Attending 💫
Creating a new morning ritual might feel daunting, implementing new habits takes time, trial and error until they feel automatic. Don't be too harsh on yourself if you miss a few days, you are always welcome to join us again. Please have your camera on so I don't have to stare at the void first thing in the morning.
Fun 💫
As always in my practice, nothing is ever rigid! Everything I'm offering is absolutely optional, please readjust the sequence to what feels right for your body, that means you might choose another pranayama (breathing practice), different asanas (yoga poses) or even tweak the meditation if you're feeling fidgety. The choice is yours, you are your own best teacher.
Night 💫
We are going to be communing in the early hours of the day, I highly recommend giving yourself the chance to start going to bed earlier this week, than you usually would. Most people need roughly 8 hours of sleep to feel human the next day, this definitely varies from one person to another, you know yourself best. Take a few days to create the habit of going to bed early in order to make it easier for yourself in the morning.
Space 💫
Set up a space you look forward to in the morning. Pull out your favorite blankie, candle, incense, mood light. Make the space super appealing, give yourself the star wellness studio treatment, because you simply deserve it.
Materials 💫
We'll be practicing on the ground, so grab your fav pillow, a yoga mat or a towel to sit on, you can also have your journal nearby to jot down any insight you might have caught during your practice.
